INTRODUCTION:

The second  NIPF Conference "Care in the Police Family" will be held at the Ramada Hotel, Shaw's Bridge, on 6 and 7 November 2007.

We want to ensure that we meet the needs of clients as fully as we can - both now and in the future.  The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for people who use the services to tell us how their needs are changing and what their future need might be.

The focus of the event will be on a number of small working groups (each 25-30 people).  Each group will discuss one of the topics shown on the Programme page of this web site.  At the end of the conference a summary of the main points will be delivered to the whole audience.  In addition a report will be prepared that summarises the recommendations of the conference.

The involvement of people who use the services is critical to the planning process.  This will be a very practical event and those attending will be able to discuss key issues of concern with other service users as well as a range of provider organisations and policy influencers.

The event will be central to the planning of “Care in the Police Family” for the next few years and it is important that you, as an individual, or as the representative of an organisation have your say in it.
